Approximately 85 Serbian Euronet employees volunteered in October 2024 to clean the Great War Island – Lido, a protected nature reserve at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers.
Known for its rich biodiversity and importance as a sanctuary for birds and wildlife, the island is a treasured part of Belgrade’s natural heritage.
Unfortunately, it is also vulnerable to pollution. Responding to the problem, the Serbian team successfully collected 300 large bags of trash from the island’s coastline, helping preserve the unique ecosystem for future generations.
